We’ve finally reached the holiday window. It’s almost black Friday. For some, I’m sure it’s a holiday of it’s own. Maybe you’re super enthusiastic and wait in line with everyone to get that tv deal. Or you’re someone who prefers to shop in your pjs on the couch from home. Either way, there’s one thing we all want in our shopping: the best black Friday deals.
I’ve only gotten into the Black Friday spirit within the last few years. And even still, I tend to have my consistent places I go and things I shop for. I’m not going to race anyone for a tv or push anyone out of the way for a toy. If I’m honest, I like to go in that wave when everyone is home taking their nape before round two. But in my limited time of being a Black Friday shopper, I’ve discovered a few things that are worth the hassle. So today I wanted to share where I’m shopping and where I find my best Black Friday deals.
This will be my second year shopping here but it’s solidified a place in my day. Typically, you’ll find that Anthro features 30% off on the actual day. It’s still discounted throughout the weekend but the actually discount tends to decrease each day. I love to snag books, candles (we stock up) and other gifts for friends here. I always seem to find something that works. If you’re not into going in store, they also offer the discount online. Plus, they are available for cash back on ebates*.
Let’s be real. I go to Target once a week as least. But I always go on Black Friday. We are a big movie household. I previously worked in film and my mom is steadily working on building her dvd library with my guidance. Over the years, I’ve found the best time to buy DVDs is on BF. I keep a running tab on my phone of the ones we want and then stock up. It’s also a great time to get TV seasons because they normally cost around $10. The other part is that if you shop then, Target will normally give you a discount to use on a shopping trip at a later date. Add in your redcard discount and you’ll save more than you spend! Also, if you’re a redcard holder, you can start your BF shopping Wednesday online!
I’m a massive Ulta fan in general because of their rewards program. While Sephora may stock brands that are harder to find, Ulta ultimately wins by offering cash rewards. And they seem to do even more amazing things for Black Friday deals. Plus you can shop online which is also a bonus for me. If there is a product you’ve been eyeing for a while, I’d definitely check their add to see if it’s discounted. They also have great budget gift set options for your beauty & skincare loving friends. Personally, I’ve been wanting new make up brushes and I’ll happily buy them at 50% off. Paired with my every trust ebates cash back and I’m a happy, bargain deal gal!
(Birchbox’s Black Friday Deals)
While some stores do more of a selection of products for black Friday deals, Birchbox does it based on how you spend. And if you aren’t sure what to give a friend or maybe you want to buy a more green beauty brand, then there’s a good chance you can save here. Personally, I’ve discovered so many of my favorite brands the last few years with Birchbox. Plus, their beauty box is a great gift that keeps on giving. I’d definitely consider browsing here if you’re on the hunt for quality beauty gifts.
My mother would tell you I buy my life on amazon. It’s true. She may be the queen of ebay deals but give me amazon prime 2 day shipping please and I’m sold. It’s probably spoiled me for most other retailers to be honest. And while I pretty much shop on amazon 7 days a week, BF is my exception. Until I can’t find what I want in store and end up on the site anyways. Oh the ever faithful amazon, how could I think anyone else would be as lovely?
I’m not massive into the whole buy the expensive electronics with black Friday deals thing. But it looks like they have some good deals. If you’re looking for harder to find toys or maybe you want your own Alexa to yell at in the next room, there’s a good chance you can find a steal. And if you’re not using Honey*, get on that. It’s my amazon money saving tool. Honey can keep watchlists to tell you the price history of an item and it can even tell you if the item in your cart is the best deal. Honey and Amazon are a match made in deal heaven.
I have the same love for Nordstrom that I do Target. It’s my go to for a lot of things. But it’s definitely where I peruse when Black Friday shopping. However, I’ll admit that sometimes the store is a bit more packed than I can handle and I stick to online shopping. Now unlike a lot of stores where you’ll find a blanket discount when shopping, Nordstrom tends to be hit or miss. But there’s a good chance you can score discount jewelry, sunglasses or other amazing gifts & stocking stuffers. And if you have their store card (credit & debit options are available), you’ll get reward points that build up to cash back in store.
Wherever you shop this Black Friday, I hope you score amazing deals and gifts for everyone you’re shopping for. And if you have a suggestion for somewhere I should try out this year, leave me a comment below and let me know. Happy shopping friends!
